Susan and Diana
Specializing in kitchen and bath design, local sisters Susan and Diana have been creating beautiful residential and commercial spaces in the Upper Arkansas Valley for over twenty-six years. Their formal degrees in art and design and decades of professional experience in drafting, color theory, material installation, project management, and interior design led them to open Home & Design in 2005. Raised in Salida, Colorado, Susan and Diana have always felt deeply connected to the area’s natural landscape. They focus on bringing each client’s unique style into harmony with these surroundings, whether they are building a new home high among the aspens or are renovating a bungalow on the banks of the Arkansas River. Kestrel
As Susan’s daughter (and Diana’s niece), Kestrel spent many, many childhood afternoons daydreaming and tinkering with the samples at Home & Design. Though she left Salida for almost a decade, she is so grateful to be back in this amazing community and to work with her family in a field that has always inspired her. With degrees in both English and theater and a background in production management, Kestrel feels particularly drawn to the creative and collaborative nature of home design. She believes that our spaces should tell our stories, and that the materials, colors, and textures we choose are a huge part of that storytelling.
